John Galliano Mix Dress
Beautiful cotton and silk mix dress by legendary British designer, John Galliano. Featuring frills and ruffles with thin straps and lace edging. The stunning 17th Century print shows faded images of elegant ladies, flowers and antique newspaper typing, with a gold spray paint effect discreetly dotted about in places for a 21st century touch. The elasticated finish at the hem of the dress adds a slight puffball shape that balances perfectly just on the knee
.
Born in Gibralta, John Galliano moved to London as a small child, and went on to study at the legendary Central Saint Martin's art school, where his flawless talent did not go unrecognised.
He started his career working part time on a national theatre production as a dress maker, where his love for all things fabulous and distinctive began to develop.
He moved to Paris in the early 1990's where he presented his first collection, made entirely from black fabric (all the budding designer could afford.) His efforts were instantly praised and he was given his big break selling at the renowned Brown's store, London.
He has since worked alongside Givenchy and as chief designer at Dior, making Galliano one of the most respected leaders of fashion in the world. |
