Adidas for Yohji Yamamoto:
(Date Added: 25th May 2006)
"Today sport shoes are being created as if they were actually part of the human body. The sports world and its technology seek for necessity, practicality or functionality, attempting to reduce excess, while fashion is seeking the opposite."
Yohji Yamamoto
Adidas for Yohji Yamamoto portrays an artistic yet humorous approach to a collection of sport shoes. Once again, Yohji Yamamoto and Adidas have united two seeming opposites, creating an unusual approach in design. This new range consists of high performance footwear that is both functional and aesthetically characteristic of Yohji Yamamoto's sense of fashion, art and engineering.
The Tunit YY is based on the Adidas SOCCER +F50 Tunit technology, the first ever modular football boot, and comes in four different versions that incorporate drawings of worldwide renowned Japeanese artist TAISHI HAYASHI:
The Tiger in gold, white and black, the Eagle in pink, white and red, the Wolf metallic silver, black and white, and the Dragon in blue, light red and royal blue.
Each is limited to 1000 pairs worldwide.
The new Adidas for Yohji Yamamoto collection, influenced by the leading Adidas technology and design in SOCCER performance shoes, pays tribute to the upcoming World Cup, an event that promises to capture the global attention of sporting enthusiasts, athletes and the world of fashion.

Adicolor:
(Date Added: 9th March 2006)
Originals brings back an iconic footwear concept that celebrates the touchpoints of self expression, customization and unlimited personal involvement: adicolor. In two main bursts the Sport Heritage division re-introduces a classic collection of customizable footwear and takes a step forward by adding apparel and accessories to the capsule collection.
The original adicolor concept was launched onto the sportswear market at the Ispo Fair in Munich in 1983. At this time adidas offered pure white footwear models with specially created quick drying and weatherproof pens.
To reflect the endless style possibilities of adicolor, the range of 2006 will be enhanced by a set of comprehensive, sophisticated customization tools ranging from felt-tip pens to spray paints and more. In addition, the adicolor collection will be divided in two major parts, the White Series which refers back to the original concept and the innovative Colour Series. The latter will feature a number of collaborations as adidas Originals has teamed up with a diverse group of partners, all icons from the world of fashion and art.
As the authentic customization concept, adicolor stands for personal expression that encourages creativity.
