The latest venture from cult American designer Mark McNairy is the Mark McNairy New Amsterdam footwear collection. Taking inspiration from classic English and American styles, the collection, named "Red Brick Soul" features a selection of Dirty Bucks, Saddle Shoes, Chukka Boots and Loafers, all of which feature a Red Brick coloured sole.

Designed by McNairy and produced by the Sanders Shoe Company in Northampton, England, this traditional Derby style shoe has been produced using super premium one-piece grain wholecut leather with a full leather lining. The one-piece leather is just that, the upper has been produced using one piece of leather that features no visible stitching except for the heel post. McNairy has also added a British Made Dainite rubber Commando sole which comes in, you guessed it, the Red Brick colourway.

Mark McNairy New Amsterdam

Mark McNairy needs little or no introduction. But did you know that the man who would be king (or creative director) or Woolrich Woolen Mills actually started his career designing sportswear for women!! However his talents were soon noticed by Ivy League inspired brand J-Press, who noticed that McNairy`s North Carolina upbringing heavily influenced his preppy designs - a marriage made in heaven you could say. The introduction of McNairy allowed J-Press to open their doors to a younger market.

Since then, he has worked alongside some of the worlds coolest brands and in 2009, undertook a collaborative project with New York label Engineered Garments, headed of course by a certain Daiki Suzuki, incidentally the man McNairy will succeed at Woolrich for the forthcoming Autumn/Winter season.

His latest venture saw McNairy launch his own collection of English and American footwear named Mark McNairy New Amsterdam. The collection, themed "Red Brick Soul" features a selection of Dirty Bucks, Saddle Shoes, Chukka Boots and Loafers that all feature red brick coloured soles.

The collection is very exclusive, particularly in Europe and is a brand that will certainly stan the test of time.
