The Ski & Hike Backpack is a lightweight bag ideal for carrying anything from your mobile phone to textbooks and your packed lunch. The shoulder straps are seat belt webbing and the outer shell is an original weathered nylon fabric. A large main compartment features with antique brass metal zippers and a smaller compartment sits on the front. Finished off with an original JanSport woven label from 1967, this backpack is a timeless classic.

JanSport Heritage

The year was 1967, the Summer of Love. The Summer three Seattle college grads were looking to avoid the confines of nine-to-five jobs: Skip, an outdoor enthusiast; Murray, an engineer; and Jan, a seamstress. Murray had won an award for an aluminum frame bag design and told Jan if she created a bag that sold, he'd marry her and name the company after her. She did. It did. And JanSport was born.

Forty-one years later, JanSport reignites the Summer of '67 with its new Heritage Series, a modern and honest re-issue of its original designs, reflecting the outdoor functionality and aesthetics at the core of the brand. These bright-colored bags feature an original JanSport woven label, weathered Cordura® and nylon fabrics, antique brass metal zippers, and classic seat belt webbing.
