The Paul Smith Jeans and Red Ear collections for Autumn/Winter 2009 takes its inspiration from film director Wes Anderson.

Anderson`s prevalent use of vivid colour is drawn upon within the collection, the palette centres around levels and shades of green; paler tones combined with violet and yellow and darker tones mixed with navy and claret. Purple and camel are infused, along with bright orange and pink. Prints are humorous and reflective of Anderson`s attention to detail style.

While staying true to the essence of previous collections, shapes are refined, smart and elegant. Washed wool single breasted jackets, double breasted overcoats, classic mac`s and corduroy tuxedos with a play on classic 1970`s European sportswear.
