Penfield x DPMhi Men’s Outback Night Camo Vest

Designed in collaboration with Maharishi head honcho and lover of all things camo, Hardy Blechman.

DPM aims to detach camouflage from its military associations and promote its natural roots and artistic influences. This theory is described in DPM Disruptive Pattern Material, a 944-page encyclopaedia of camouflage.

Terrain: Woodland

History: This pattern is inspired by the Belgian ‘brushstrokes’ pattern released in 1956 that was issued to elite troops such as paratroopers and marines. The design evolved from a pattern of green and brown strokes named by collectors as the ‘moon and balls’ pattern. In DPM Penfield Down Stroke, the brushstrokes have been replaced by feathers that symbolize warmth and lightness of Penfield products.
