Ask anybody to name a high-performance outerwear brand and most will mention The North Face. Born in 1966 by two hiking enthusiasts who founded a small mountaineering store in the heart of San Francisco`s North Beach, it was`nt until 1968 that they began producing their own collection under The North Face brand. The name was selected because in the northern hemisphere, the north face of a mountain is typically the coldest, iciest, and most formidable to climb. In 2006 the folk at The North Face decided the time was right to enter the more fashion-orientated market. Coming direct from the company`s European headquarters in Germany, Triads was chosen as the first store to house the collection.
