Nike "Skulls" Air Max 1 Green Trainer

The Air Max 1 given a whole new dimension by Nike using a part- ripstop upper and speckled midsole. The concept behind the "Skulls" Edition Air Max 1 was an idea by two guys, John Truax and Todd Lewis, who were part of Nike`s Beaverton running team. Their idea was to bring together the best of the Northwests running fraternity, on campus, for a "friendly" race which has since turned into the highlight of the Cross Country season in Oregon and Washington. The teams start off on opposing sides of the pitch, the Ronaldo Pitch as it is known. One team in green, one team in blue. Theres a small path in the middle which takes the runners around the Nike World Headquarters. So why the "Skulls"? Because when the gun sounds, these kids turn into Warriors, the first one to the path takes the advantage. The skull logo is also featured on these trainers as it is featured on the singlet of both the Oregon and Washington teams - these race is not sanctioned so the teams cannot sport their official uniforms. The race means everything, where the best of the best succeeds, the race is....... BORDERCLASH!!
