As part of the Highly Exclusive Tournament Edition, these are a 1-to-1 reintroduction of the G.S. originally introduced in 1981.
Featuring a smart leather/nubuck combination, sophisticated perforated leather lining and laser etching sign off on the tongue, this model has adjuastable heel density through the interchangeable pegs in the heel unit.
They are presented in a variation of the iconic adidas white/green tennis colourway.
Extremely Limited, these also come in a special edition Tournament green box. Also comes with tool for adjusting studs.
When Adi Dassler began what was to become one of the biggest success stories ever, he followed three guiding principles in his development work, driven by his passion for sports and shoemaking: to produce the best shoe to serve the needs of the sport, to protect the athlete for injury and to make the product durable,Adidas was being born. The story began in his mothers washroom, a space of around 200 square foot, with no machinery and no electricity. Dassler, with two hired shoemakers, began producing 100% hand-made leather shoes. At the age of 23, Adi convinced his brother Rudolf to join the business from which they register their small business as "Dassler Brothers Shoe Factory". The rest they say is history and the Adidas Originals collection was introduced to pay homage to some of the best design silhouettes ever produced. |
