Adidas Men's Dark Brown Montreal Trainers
The Scene: On a german football pitch in the late 1970's Adi Dassler delivers the Montreal to a group of footballers one day after practice.
The innovative apres-football boot featured a collapsible heel counter so players could slide the back heel tab down, for use as a slide. Lift it up and it was worn as a standard post-play shoe. The players responded favourably to he 'always thinking' Dassler. This personal relationship with athletes is integral to the history of Adidas.
The Montreal is truly one of a kind and now it's back. Cool and casual, the montreal is a clog, based on the Gazelle design. Its moccasin - construction allows for step - in comfort. A seamless, anti-bacterial lining is ideal for moisture management and airflow, making it cool for barefoot use without stinky side effects.
When Adi Dassler began what was to become one of the biggest success stories ever, he followed three guiding principles in his development work, driven by his passion for sports and shoemaking: to produce the best shoe to serve the needs of the sport, to protect the athlete for injury and to make the product durable,Adidas was being born.
The story began in his mothers washroom, a space of around 200 square foot, with no machinery and no electricity. Dassler, with two hired shoemakers, began producing 100% hand-made leather shoes. At the age of 23, Adi convinced his brother Rudolf to join the business from which they register their small business as "Dassler Brothers Shoe Factory".
The rest they say is history and the Adidas Originals collection was introduced to pay homage to some of the best design silhouettes ever produced. |
