Levis Vintage Men's 1937 501 Cinch back Denim Jeans
Levi`s 1937 501 Cinch back jeans.
The iconic 1937 501 jeans were the first pair of waist overalls with concealed rivets on the back pockets - in response to consumer request, as the exposed rivets scratched saddles and furntiture.
With the suspender buttons gone for good , the 1937 501 still featured a cinch back, in addition to belt loops and a button fly.
Featuring the new Levi`s big "E" red Tab introduced in 1936, the overalls also had a real leather Two Horse patch and hand applied rivets.
This is a looser-fitting low-slung jean made from a super soft, worn out, vivid mid-shaded indigo narrow selvage denim with an amazingly comfortable drape.
When Levi Strauss founded Levi Strauss & Co. in 1853, it was the start of a company that embossed generations.
In the beginning Levis stood for robust working clothes of goldminers and pioneers. But over the years the name became a symbol of the rebellion of youth.
The Levis Vintage collection keeps the 133 year old history of denim alive by creating exact reproductions of original jeanswear from the Levi Strauss & Co archives in San Francisco.
Focusing on authenticism, the denim garments are made with historic quality xx-selvage denim from original narrow loom machinery, and non-denim pieces are exact sourced reproductions. |
